Growing number of homeless children in CA

In a report released by the National Center of Family Homelessness, California was found to have the third highest number of homeless children. The recent recession and the lack of affordable housing are the main causes for the growing number. It is estimated that an unsettling 2.5 million children are living without permanent housing across the United States.
